Actress Marlene Dietrich Autograph 3X5 Died1992Actress, marlene dietrich autographed 3x5 card dated on reverse 1933. Marlene dietrich (27 december 1901â? Died, 6 may 1992) was a german-born american actress, singer and entertainer. She is considered to eb the first german actress to flourish in hollywood. Dietrich managed to remain popular by continually re-inventing herself throughout her long career. During the 1920s she began her work as a cbaaret singer, chorus girl and film actress in berlin. In the 1930s, she became a hollywood actress, a world war ii frontline entertainer, and then an international stage show performer from the 1950s to the 1970s. By the end of her career hse had become an entertainment icon of the 20th century. She was awarded the medal of freedom. Obtained as part of a collection of autographed 3x5 index/linen cards purchased this week directly from the son of the original collector who had written to various celebrities in 1932-1934 requesting thier autographs and recieved the autograph through the mail in compliance with the request. The cards are all dated on the reverse with the omnth and year the autograph was recieved.
